It’s fall, and it’s time to start thinking about winterizing your spa. You should always remember that no matter which spa model you own, cleaning it properly before closing it up will avoid extra work in the spring.
At this point, all residues and scum accumulation on the acrylic of your spa is still nice and moist, so a lot easier to remove than it would be next spring, because all residue build-up will have hardened, and therefore be more difficult to remove.
One product we recommend is ACRYLIC CLEANER. Its safe for your spa, specially made for acrylic, and will not create extra foam when you fill your tub again next year.
Make sure you remove all of your jets, so you can get into every corner. Spray ACRYLIC CLEANER on the dirty surface and let sit for a couple of minutes. With a damp cloth, remove dirt. With a clean dry cloth, dry off and polish the surface. It’s now nice and clean!
Don’t forget to clean the cover of your spa with COVER CLEANER. Make sure to remove the heavy dirt on the cover with a wet cloth, and apply COVER CLEANER to one small surface at a time. Then, polish with a clean dry cloth: COVER CLEANER will not only add brightness: it will hydrate the lining of the cover, and will keep it in better condition for a longer period of time.
